Paula Muñoz Roldán received her BSc in Biology (Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology) from the University of Barcelona in 2015. She completed her final degree project at the LIT in Limerick (Ireland) evaluating carotenoids in microalgae. In 2016, she fulfilled her MSc in Molecular Biotechnology and completed her project on antioxidant production during ripening of sweet cherries under the supervision of Dr. Sergi Munné-Bosch. She has recently been awarded with a 4-year PhD Fellowship (FPI) from Spanish Government and part of her research is focused on the study of redox control mechanisms related to nutrient content and sex dimorphism in the Mediterranean shrub Pistacia lentiscus.
